...ICE ADVISORY FOR THE CENTRAL BASIN OF LAKE ERIE THROUGH
WEDNESDAY...

Very cold Arctic air dropping into the single digits will
overspread Lake Erie tonight. Water temperatures in the central
basin of the lake are near 33 degrees. Rapid ice growth is
expected overnight into Wednesday which could close shipping
channels on Lake Erie.

Vessels traveling through Lake Erie should be aware of the
potential for rapid ice growth. Plan accordingly to avoid
enclosure in the ice.
