.DISCUSSION...
Significant fire weather concerns are not anticipated in the
region through Friday. Northwest winds between 5 and 10 mph are
expected today. Winds should turn calm overnight then southeast
winds between 5 and 10 mph should develop on Friday. Dry weather
will prevail in the region today, with afternoon relative humidity
values falling into the 40 to 50 percent range. Moisture will be
on the rise in the region Friday. This will manifest in higher
minimum humidity values (50 to 70 percent), cloud cover, and rain
showers. Transport winds (northwest at 6 to 12 mph) and and mixing
heights (4000 to 6000 ft AGL) will be decent today. Mixing heights
will be notably lower (< 2000 ft AGL) on Friday, but transport
winds will rise to 10 to 25 mph from the south.
