This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Illinois, east central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT... A mix of rain and wet snow will taper-off and come to an end tonight. Additional slushy snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are possible east of Interstate 55. Due to warm soil and pavement temperatures, most of the accumulating snow will occur on grassy surfaces. A surge of much colder will set the stage for widespread freezing conditions tonight, putting sensitive vegetation at risk of damage. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY... Another night of sub-freezing low temperatures is expected for Wednesday night into Thursday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight. $$ MJA
