Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
325 PM EDT Sat Sep 7 2024

.SYNOPSIS...

Low pressure off the Carolina coast will accelerate northeastward
and away from our region tonight, leaving behind a stalled
frontal boundary over the northeast Florida waters. Meanwhile,
high pressure building over the Upper Midwest will build
southeastward towards the Ohio Valley by Sunday evening and will
then become anchored along the Mid-Atlantic coast during the early
and middle portions of next week. Occasional showers and possibly
a few embedded thunderstorms are expected through tonight across
our local waters. Showers and thunderstorms will then increase in
coverage throughout our local waters beginning on Sunday afternoon
as a wave of low pressure develops along the stalled frontal
boundary. Northeasterly winds will then increase and seas will
build early in the upcoming week as high pressure builds down the
southeastern seaboard, with periods of showers and thunderstorms
continuing as the frontal boundary remains stalled across our
local waters.
