...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN VERNON PARISH...
NEWTON AND NORTHEASTERN JASPER COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM CDT...

At 512 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of Mayflower to near Jasper.
Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor
         objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Jasper, Leesville, Newton, Anacoco, Toledo Bend Dam, Bon Weir,
Burkeville, New Llano, Farrsville, Burr Ferry, Mayflower, Jamestown,
Roganville, Harrisburg, Stringtown, Wiergate, and Evans.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for southwestern
and west central Louisiana...and southeastern Texas.
