A communications disruption has occurred, preventing radio broadcasts originating from the National Weather Service in Sterling from reaching five NOAA Weather Radio transmitters. The transmitters affected include: KHB-36 in Manassas, Virginia transmitting on 162.550 Mhz KEC-83 in Baltimore, Maryland transmitting on 162.400 Mhz WXM-42 in Hagerstown, Maryland transmitting on 162.475 Mhz WXM-43 in Frostburg, Maryland transmitting on 162.425 Mhz WNG-736 in Washington, DC transmitting on 162.450 Mhz Technicians are looking into the problem. The estimated time to restoration of service is currently unknown.
