Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
336 PM EDT Fri May 24 2019

Winds will decrease tonight as high pressure builds into the
region from the west. This will allow lows to fall into the upper
40s across outlying areas, with temperatures remaining in the mid
to upper 50s in and around New York City.

After a sunny start on Saturday, clouds will gradually increase
through the day as the high shifts offshore. Temperatures will
range from the upper 60s on Long Island to the low to mid 70s
across the rest of the area.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase
Saturday evening as a warm front lifts north towards the region.
While much of the day on Sunday will remain dry, a few showers and
storms are possible as the cold front crosses the area. After
overnight lows around 60, highs on Sunday will rise into the 80s
across most of the region.
