Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
341 PM EDT Fri Apr 13 2018

Warm conditions will continue tonight as a southwesterly flow
maintains a warm air mass. Temperatures in portions of the New
York City metro area may not drop below 60, with lows in the
upper 50s to around 60. Elsewhere, lows in the 50s will be common.
High pressure offshore will keep the region dry.

Saturday will start off warm, with temperatures once again soaring
into the upper 70s in the metro area, with 60s to lower 70s
expected elsewhere. However, an approaching cold front from the
north will move south through our area during the morning into
the early afternoon hours, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures.
By late afternoon, temperatures will drop into the upper 40s to
lower 50s, generally across the northern and eastern sections,
with 60s in the metro area. The front will also bring just a
slight chance for rain for portions of Northeast New Jersey, the
Lower Hudson Valley and southern Connecticut.

Temperatures will continue to drop Saturday night into Sunday,
with lows on Saturday in the 30s and highs on Sunday only in the
upper 30s to lower 40s. Fog and drizzle are possible Saturday
night. A complex frontal system approaching the area will
continue the precipitation, generally in the form of rain, but
some sleet may mix in for northern areas.
