Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
448 AM EDT Tue May 22 2018

Low pressure will track through the Great Lakes today and across
northern New England tonight dragging a warm front through the
area this evening, followed by a cold front late tonight into
Wednesday morning. Showers will overspread the area this morning
with chances for rain and possibly a few rumbles of thunder late
this afternoon and tonight ahead of the cold front. The rain,
abundant cloud cover and an onshore wind flow will result
considerably cooler high temperatures as compared to yesterday.
Highs will only be in the 60s.

High pressure then builds in behind the cold front on Wednesday
with sunshine returning and temperatures generally rising into
the upper 70s to low 80s.
