Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
346 PM EDT Sat May 19 2018

A warm front moves through the region from southwest to northeast
tonight. This will result in light showers and areas of fog, with
possibly some localized dense fog. Temperatures will likely hold
steady, or slowly rise during tonight through the upper 50s to
middle 60s.

On Sunday clouds will remain as a cold front approaches from the
north and west. Before the front moves through later in the day
there will be the chance of some light showers. Temperatures will
be warmer with highs in the 70s, except closer to 80 for New York
City and interior sections. Behind the cold front for the late
afternoon and evening some partial clearing will move in as the
winds shift to the northwest, bringing in drier air for Sunday

The sun will finally return on Monday with seasonably warm
temperatures. Highs are expected to reach the middle and upper 70s
for New York City and interior sections. An afternoon wind off
the ocean will keep temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s
along the immediate shore line.
