Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
448 PM EDT Sat Apr 14 2018

A cold front will continue to move south, away from our area
tonight. This will allow temperatures to continue to drop as an
east- northeasterly flow brings in a cool and damp air mass. Lows
will range from the middle 30s to around 40. Clouds will be on the
increase as well, with mostly cloudy conditions expected at or
before midnight. Light rain and drizzle are also possible.

Temperatures on Sunday will either hold steady or drop a couple of
degrees during the day as colder air filters in from high pressure
in southern Canada. The damp conditions will continue, with
cloudy skies, light rain, and drizzle possible as the front
remains in the vicinity. Some areas across the Lower Hudson Valley
and inland southern Connecticut could see sleet mix in, with
patchy areas of freezing rain also possible.

More significant rainfall is expected late Sunday night into Monday
as another cold front approaches from the west. The rain could
come down heavy at times, with isolated thunder also possible.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain is forecast through Monday night,
with urban and small stream flooding possible.
