...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL SOMERSET AND
NORTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 442 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Society Hill,
or near Plainfield, moving northeast at 10 mph.

This includes the following highways...
 New Jersey Turnpike between exits 10 and 13.
 Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 13.
 Garden State Parkway between mile markers 126 and 134.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
