...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Virginia...

  Roanoke (Staunton) River at Randolph affecting Charlotte and
  Halifax Counties.

  Dan River at South Boston affecting Halifax County.

...The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in
Virginia...

  Dan River at Paces affecting Halifax County.

...The Flood Warning for the Dan River at Paces has been cancelled...

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Dan River at Paces.
* At 8:45 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 21.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Forecast...Though modest rises are expected into early this
  afternoon, the Dan River at Paces is no longer expected to reach
  flood stage. The river will level off, and begin to recede by late
  afternoon.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until late tomorrow evening...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Dan River at South Boston.
* Until Wednesday evening.
* At 9:00 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 23.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
  at 9:00 AM EDT Tuesday was 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 24.6 feet this evening. It will
  then begin to recede, and will fall below flood stage late
  tomorrow morning. Additional rises are expected later this week
  due to another round of rainfall associated with an approaching
  storm system. However, these rises are not expected to reach back
  above flood stage at this time.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 24.6
  feet on 01/07/1992.

* At 8:45 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 25.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring, and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
  at 8:45 AM EDT Tuesday was 26.2 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to recede below flood stage late
  tonight, and continue falling thereafter.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, water is several feet deep on portions of
  River Road and Black Walnut Road.
