.Flooding has moved downstream along the Stillaguamish River and is
now impacting the greater Stanwood area. Emergency management
reports an active flood fight in the area.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Washington, including the
  following county, Snohomish.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several roads
  are flooded and sand bagging operations are continuing. Numerous
  roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow
  moving or standing water. It will take several hours to days for
  all the water from this storm to work through local drainage
  systems.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 821 AM PST, emergency management reported flooding in the
    warned area. Flooding is already occurring.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Church Creek, Hat Slough, West Pass, Pilchuck Creek,
    Stillaguamish River and Portage Creek.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Stanwood, Florence, Warm Beach and Silvana.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
