...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia...

  Withlacoochee River above Valdosta (Skipper Bridge Rd) affecting
  Lowndes and Brooks Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

The next statement will be issued by Wednesday afternoon at 530 PM
EDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecast to continue.

* WHERE...Withlacoochee River above Valdosta (Skipper Bridge Rd).

* WHEN...Until Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 135.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Langdale Park
  floods.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 135.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM EDT Tuesday was 135.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 136.3
    feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood
    stage Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 135.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    136.3 feet on 03/29/1993.
