Snow is expected to begin late this evening over north central Kansas and spread east into northeast and east central Kansas through the early morning hours of Tuesday. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas along and south of Interstate 35 are forecast to see around 1 inch of snow. Areas along and north of Interstate 70 could get between 2 and 4 inches. The snow is likely to make the Tuesday morning commute slippery, especially on bridges and overpasses. Freezing temperatures could also damage tender vegetation if not protected. A winter weather advisory will go into effect at 10 PM tonight and continue until 10 AM Tuesday. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. A killing freeze is forecast for Wednesday morning with temperatures falling into the middle and upper 20s for several hours. Unprotected vegetation could be killed. Outdoor plumbing such as sprinkler systems could also be damaged if they are not drained. Freezing temperatures are also forecast for Thursday morning. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
