This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Kansas, east
central Kansas, north central Kansas, and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for late this morning and this
afternoon along and south of a line from Council Grove to Valley
Falls where the Rangeland Fire Danger Index will reach the Extreme
category. Elsewhere, the Rangeland Fire Danger Index will reach the
Very High category.

North to northwest winds sustained around 30 MPH with gusts around
45 MPH will spread southeast across the area during the afternoon
and persist into the late night hours. A Wind Advisory is in
effect.

There is a chance for light snow from early this evening to
around midnight. Any accumulations should be light but falling
snow combined with the strong winds will lead to low visibilities.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Elevated fire danger conditions may return Thursday and Sunday.
