...NWS Damage Survey for June 12 2021 Tornado Event...

.Overview...
A supercell thunderstorm developed northwest of Las Vegas New
Mexico during the afternoon of June 12 and moved southeast across
Interstate 25. The storm became more organized with broad rotation
aloft indicated on radar as it continued southeast away from Las
Vegas. The storm was about 90 miles from the Canon AFB WSR-88D
KFDX and in the beam blockage of the NWS Albuquerque WSR-88D KABX.
Several storm chasers documented the tornado in open country and
it did not cause any damage. Based on these reports and radar
data, the tornado began around 530 PM MDT and ended around 542 PM
MDT with it being its strongest around 538 PM MDT.

Survey Summary:
Several storm chasers, 1 being a NWS employee, documented the
tornado in open country causing no damage.
