The following message is transmitted at the request of the Forest
Service Flathead Avalanche Center Kalispell MT

...The Forest Service Flathead Avalanche Center Kalispell MT has
issued a Backcountry Avalanche Watch...

* Timing...In effect from 0700 MST Friday through 0700 MST Sunday.

* Affected Area...the Flathead Range and Glacier National Park,
  Whitefish Range, and Swan Range.

* Avalanche Danger...The avalanche danger for the warning area
  will rise to HIGH tomorrow, Saturday, if the weather forecast
  verifies.

* Reason/Impacts...Expected heavy snow combined with increased
  wind will result in widespread avalanche activity.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Very dangerous avalanche conditions are expected Saturday. Travel
in and below avalanche terrain is not recommended. Avalanches may
run long distances and can run into valley floors, or flat
terrain.
