BALTIMORE MD...BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD
MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN MARCH 2019 WAS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL.
HOWEVER, IT WAS THE WARMEST MARCH SINCE 2017, WHEN THE AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE WAS 43.9 DEGREES.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS 106 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE WETTEST
MARCH SINCE 2015, WHEN 4.67 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL.

MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS 142 PERCENT OF NORMAL. HOWEVER, IT WAS THE
LEAST SNOWY MARCH SINCE 2017, WHEN 2.3 INCHES OF SNOW FELL.

NO DAILY RECORDS WERE SET DURING MARCH 2019.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA HAVE BEEN RECORDED AT WHAT
IS NOW BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT
SINCE 1950. THE OFFICIAL WEATHER RECORD CONSISTS OF THAT DATA BACK
TO 1950, AND OBSERVATIONS TAKEN IN DOWNTOWN BALTIMORE FROM 1871
THROUGH 1949. TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA EXTEND
BACK TO JULY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY
OF 1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.
