MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN NOVEMBER 2018 WAS BELOW NORMAL. IT WAS
THE COLDEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2014, WHEN THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS
43.4 DEGREES.

MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS 247 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE WETTEST
NOVEMBER ON RECORD, BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 7.68 INCHES SET IN
NOVEMBER 1952.

MONTHLY SNOWFALL WAS 425 PERCENT OF NORMAL. IT WAS THE SNOWIEST
NOVEMBER SINCE 1989, WHEN 3.8 INCHES FELL.

A DAILY RECORD SNOWFALL TOTAL OF 1.7 INCHES WAS ST ON NOVEMBER 15TH.
THIS BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 1.2 INCHES SET BACK IN 1908.

A DAILY RECORD SNOWFALL TOTAL OF A TRACE WAS SET ON NOVEMBER 16TH.
THIS TIED THE OLD RECORD SET BACK IN 2000.

WEATHER RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA HAVE BEEN RECORDED AT WHAT
IS NOW BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT
SINCE 1950. THE OFFICIAL WEATHER RECORD CONSISTS OF THAT DATA BACK
TO 1950, AND OBSERVATIONS TAKEN IN DOWNTOWN BALTIMORE FROM 1871
THROUGH 1949. TEMPERATURE RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA EXTEND
BACK TO JULY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY
OF 1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.
