The National Weather Service in Raleigh has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Guilford County in central North Carolina...

* Until 200 AM EDT.

* At 1145 PM EDT, Heavy rainfall has caused North Buffalo Creek to
  rise rapidly and overflow its banks.  Water is beginning to recede
  in southwest and central Greensboro, but rises will continue on
  the northeast side of Greensboro through 200 AM.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Gauges reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Greensboro, McLeansville, Forest Oaks and Monticello.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
