...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and north central New Mexico,
  including the following counties, in central New Mexico,
  Bernalillo. In north central New Mexico, southeastern Sandoval and
  southwestern Santa Fe.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 602 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms moving southeast over the area. This will cause
    arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1.5 inches of rain
    have fallen over parts of the area, including Cedar Crest,
    Sandia Park, San Pedro Creek, Cedar Grove, and Sedillo.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Edgewood, Tijeras, Sedillo, Sandia Park, Cedar Crest, Golden,
    Cedar Grove, San Antonito and Canoncito in Bernalillo County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
