Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are forecast. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Plano, Irving, Carrollton, Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Coppell, The Colony, Farmers Branch, Addison, Hebron, Buckingham and Lewisville Lake. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
