...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Georgia, including the
  following counties, Berrien, Brooks, Colquitt, Lanier and Lowndes.

* WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 658 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Valdosta, Lakeland, Hahira, Ray City, Pavo, Moody Air Force
    Base, Remerton, Meigs, Morven, Barwick, I-75 At Exit 22, I-75
    At Exit 29, Barretts, New Lois, Barney, Naylor, Hansell,
    Stockton, Courthouse and Greenwood.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
