.DISCUSSION...
Elevated and Near Critical Fire Danger expected each afternoon
into next week.
Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph on Thursday with midday vent rates
Good and smoke transport to the north. Humidity will be extremely
low through this weekend with min RH 5-10% each afternoon.
Moisture in Lincoln National Forest (12-20%) won`t be much
better. Extended duration dryness with this pattern will
accelerate the drying of timber fuels and other long-term fire
sources.
Lighter winds will prevent any fire headlines over the next
several days, though Saturday 3/22 is close to Red Flag criteria
with west winds 15 to 25 mph that afternoon. Sunday into early
next look dry, warm, and light winds.
