temperatures will last into much of next week. Monsoon
moisture arrives Sunday and brings chances of showers and
thunderstorms to mainly the Sierra Nevada crest. Slight
chances for storms spread into the Sierra foothills and
the Kern County mountains and desert on Monday. Thunderstorm
chances continue each afternoon over the higher elevations of
the Sierra Nevada through the rest of next week.
