Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
206 AM CDT Wed May 20 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Low fire weather concerns are expected for the next several days.
Cooler and more moist air have moved into the region and will
persist for that time. Each day has a chance at wetting rains that
will slightly improve the overall fuel landscape. Critical min RHs
move back in over the higher elevations to the west on Friday, but
this is short lived as recoveries will remain fair to excellent
with generally light winds each day.
