Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico

.DISCUSSION...

Isolated thunderstorms in southeast New Mexico and the higher
terrain of West Texas which could produce gusty erratic winds and
lightning. High temperatures are set to be above normal into the
weekend with relative humidities and ERC`s at or near critical
values for southeast New Mexico, Trans Pecos, and the western
Permian Basin. Possible elevated fire weather especially for higher
terrain for Thursday and Friday being the driest days. Critical fire
weather is not expected with the 20ft south east winds hoovering
around 10-15 mph and overnight recoveries being fair to good across
the area.
