FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
550 AM EDT Tue May 22 2018

...Dry into Wednesday then more humid with showers and
thunderstorms to end the week into the holiday weekend...

.DISCUSSION: High pressure through Wednesday will result in
minimum RH inland of 20-30 percent. Winds both days will be
lighter with gusts of 10-15 mph. Thursday will be a transition
day as the weather becomes more humid from west to east.
Southwest winds on Thursday could reach 15 mph. Expect warm
and more humid conditions Friday and Saturday with increasing
chances of showers and thunderstorms as a low pressure and warm
front slide across Upper Michigan. Some of the thunderstorms
could be strong Friday or Saturday and there could be frequent
cloud to ground lightning and heavy downpours during any
thunderstorm. The chances of showers and thunderstorms may
linger into Sunday and Memorial Day as an upper level trough
slowly exits the region.
