Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
209 PM MDT Fri Jul 26 2024

.Discussion...

Showers and thunderstorms are expected over much of the area through
the rest of today and for tomorrow as well. Locally heavy rainfall
will be possible with storms both days, along with small hail and
wind gusts to 45 mph.

From Sunday onwards, above normal temperatures and dry conditions
are expected. Critical meteorological fire weather conditions are
possible on Sunday across the higher terrain north of Highway 50,
through the central mountains, Fremont, and Teller County, though
Fuels are not critical at this time.

For Monday through the end of the week, expect well above normal
temperatures, low relative humidity values, and weak winds. Heat
Advisories are likely for most days across portions of the plains
throughout a majority of the work week. Precipitation chances are
near zero across the plains next week, and only isolated chances for
showers and storms are expected over the high country.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will vary greatly across the district
tomorrow. Please see specific zone forecasts below for more details.
Rates will will be very good or better on Sunday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
