Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...

.DISCUSSION...Very warm and mostly dry conditions will continue
through Saturday, with highs generally in the 80s to low 90s.
Minimum relative humidity will drop to 15 to 20 percent across much
of northeast Wyoming today, along with relatively light winds. This
will result in elevated fire weather conditions. On Saturday,
northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected through the afternoon,
with gusts up to 30 mph. Critical fire weather conditions will be
possible, especially with fuels quickly drying.

The cold front will move across the area late Saturday and Saturday
night, with much cooler conditions and more widespread chances for
showers and thunderstorms through the rest of the weekend. Cooler
conditions will persist through the early part of next week.
