.DISCUSSION...Scattered snow showers will be moving across the
Black Hills and adjacent foothills through the afternoon, but
should diminish by about 6 pm. Brief periods of visibility less
than a mile will alternate with partly cloudy skies. Snowfall
should be an inch or less. Otherwise, synoptically driven flow
will result in northwest winds through the afternoon, gusting to
around 20 mph. Winds will decrease this evening and become
westerly/downslope. Skies will clear in the evening. Light winds
Thursday morning will give way to gusty southwest winds by midday,
although there is the potential for a leeside eddy effect whereby
winds are light and variable through much of the morning.
