We are monitoring areas of sea fog over the open Gulf waters.
These fog banks are mostly located just offshore. Visibility as
low as 1 NM has been reported by mariners while most
observations show visibility between 2 and 4 NM. Visibility in the
bays is averaging 3 to 6 NM. Fog may become more dense and
widespread at some point this afternoon. Thus, we cannot rule out
having to issue another Dense Fog Advisory for the nearshore
waters and potentially the bays sometime this afternoon.
