...A Gale Warning is in effect for this afternoon through Tuesday morning.

...A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for Galveston and Matagorda
Bays from 3 AM Tuesday until noon Tuesday...

.A strong cold front that will pass through the waters this afternoon.
Strong gale conditions will occur tonight through Tuesday afternoon.
Small craft operators should remain in port late today through Tuesday
morning.

...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO NOON
CST TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a Gale
Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to noon CST Tuesday.
A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 2 PM CST this afternoon.

* WINDS...A strong cold front will cause northerly gale force
  winds of 25 to 35 knots with gusts near 45 knots beginning this
  afternoon and continuing through tomorrow.

* WAVES/SEAS...Seas 4 to 6 feet this morning building to 7 to 10
  feet nearshore and 12 to 15 feet well offshore later today and
  tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occuring.
Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly
equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the
proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots... and/or
seas 7 feet or higher...are expected to produce hazardous conditions
for small craft. Inexperienced boaters...especially those operating
smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

CST TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a
Gale Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 3 AM
CST Tuesday. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect from 3 AM CST
Tuesday to noon CST Tuesday.

* WINDS...North winds rapidly increasing to 25 to 35 knots with
  gusts above 40 knots possible tonight. Gradual decrease
  tomorrow morning with North winds 20 to 25 knots with gusts
  above 30 knots possible.

* WAVES/SEAS...Becoming very rough tonight and rough tomorrow
  morning.
