...NOAA Weather Radio to be offline for tower work at Mt. Alutom...

NOAA weather radio will be offline for up to 6 hours daily between
10:00 am and 4:00 pm from February 10 to 13, 2026. This is for
installation of new communications equipment on the GTA tower as GPD
upgrades the Government of Guam`s Public Safety Land Mobile Radio
(LMR).

Coordination will be ongoing between work crews and the National
Weather Service for any changes to the schedule or if there are
weather concerns requiring transmission of potentially life-saving
weather information.
