********* PITTSBURGH MONTHLY SUMMARY **********

The Pittsburgh PA climate summary for the month  of July, 2020.  The maximum
temperature for the period was 94.  The normal maximum temperature is 91.  The
record maximum temperature is 103 degrees which was last set in 1988.  The
minimum temperature for the period was 56.  The record minimum temperature is
42 degrees which was set in 1963.  The average temperature was 77.3 degrees
which is 4.7 degrees above the normal average temperature of 72.6 degrees.  The
maximum temperature exceeded 90 degrees on 12 days this period.  The minimum
temperature did not fall below 32 degrees.  A total of 3.10 inches of
precipitation fell during the period which is 0.73 inches below the normal
amount of 3.83.  No snow fell during the period which is normal.  There were no
heating degree days this period which is 4 below the normal amount of 4 days.
There were 389 cooling degree days this period which is 148 above the normal
amount of 241 days.  The maximum wind was 33 miles per hour from the west and
occurred on July 10.  The maximum wind gust was 49 miles per hour from the west
