A CORRECTION HAS BEEN MADE TO THE SNOWFALL AT ABILENE IN FEBRUARY.
AFTER COORDINATION WITH THE SNOW OBSERVER, THE SNOWFALL FOR FEBRUARY
14 AT ABILENE HAS BEEN CORRECTED TO 9.8 INCHES.

THIS CHANGES THE SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY TO 10.1 INCHES
AT ABILENE.

THE SNOWFALL OF 9.8 INCHES ON FEBRUARY 14 IS STILL THE HIGHEST 1-DAY
SNOWFALL ON RECORD. THE PREVIOUS RECORD 1-DAY SNOWFALL WAS 9.3
INCHES ON APRIL 5, 1996.

THE MONTHLY SNOWFALL OF 10.1 INCHES IS THE 2ND HIGHEST SNOWFALL ON
RECORD FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. THE HIGHEST FEBRUARY SNOWFALL ON
RECORD IS 10.8 INCHES, SET IN 1905.

THE FEBRUARY SNOWFALL OF 10.1 INCHES IS THE 3RD HIGHEST MONTHLY
SNOWFALL, FOR ANY MONTH. THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL FOR ANY MONTH AT
ABILENE IS 13.5 INCHES, SET IN JANUARY, 1973. THE 2ND HIGHEST
SNOWFALL FOR ANY MONTH IS 10.8 INCHES, SET IN FEBRUARY, 1905 AND
IN JANUARY, 1983.
