High temperatures will be in the 98 to 108 degree range across much of the area, warmest over far western South Dakota. Southerly winds will increase to 10 to 25 mph, with gusts of 25 to over 35 mph, strongest winds generally over northwest South Dakota. Relative humidities will drop to 10 to 15 percent this afternoon over most of western South Dakota, 15 to 28 percent over south central South Dakota.
