The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20
  nm...

* Until 245 PM EDT.

* At 215 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm producing waterspouts was
  located just offshore of Cherry Grove Inlet, moving north at 5
  knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Public.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Sherman Wreck, Little River Reef, Cherry Grove Inlet, Cherry Grove
  Beach, Little River Entrance, Little River Sea Buoy and North
  Myrtle Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
