The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI
  and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border
  Beyond 5NM from shore...

* Until 1000 AM EDT.

* At 908 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 nm west of The
  Eastern Lake Superior Buoy, moving east at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and large hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
           structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
  The Eastern Lake Superior Buoy.
