The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Monroe County in south central Kentucky...
  Southwestern Cumberland County in south central Kentucky...

* Until 630 PM CST.

* At 556 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Red Boiling
  Springs, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Tompkinsville, Gamaliel, Meshack, Forkton, Blythe, Harlan
  Crossroads, Freetown, Vernon, Peytonsburg and Stalcup.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CST for south central
Kentucky. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 1100 PM CST
for south central Kentucky.
