Scattered showers and thunderstorms stretch from near Tyler to
Gilmer Texas and up across the Red River to near De Queen
Arkansas. Movement is to the Southeast at 20 mph and will be
affecting much of the I-30 corridor through the mid afternoon as
other isolated thunderstorms are popping up South of I-30. Any
strong storms will produce dangerous lightning, brief heavy
rainfall, wind gusts to around 30 mph and perhaps some small hail.
Rainfall amounts of a tenth to half of an inch may accompany this
activity into the mid afternoon peak of heating. Motorists are
urged to use caution as visibilities could briefly become reduced
as a result of the downpours making the holiday weekend`s busy
roadways slick. If thunder roars, move indoors.
