...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN POLK AND SOUTHWESTERN STORY COUNTIES...

At 646 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Elkhart, or 9
miles northeast of Ankeny, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. A large tree was down in Polk City
         around 635 pm.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Des Moines, Ankeny, Johnston, Altoona, Bondurant, Polk City, Huxley,
Saylorville, Mitchellville, Slater, Big Creek Lake, Prairie Meadows,
Adventureland Amusement Park, Drake Stadium And Knapp Center,
Saylorville Lake, Maxwell, Cambridge, Elkhart, Alleman, and Sheldahl.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 35 between mile markers 87 and 106.
 Interstate 80 between mile markers 133 and 149.
 Interstate 235 between mile markers 13 and 14.
