...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN VAN BUREN...NORTHEASTERN SCOTLAND AND NORTHWESTERN CLARK
COUNTIES...

At 901 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Indian Lake
Park, or 10 miles southeast of Keosauqua, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
         roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Keosauqua, Bonaparte, Cantril, Bentonsport/Vernon, Mount Sterling,
Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Keosauqua Airport, Mount Zion,
Chambersburg, Utica, Heath Memorial Conservation Area, Lebanon, Lake
Sugema Campground, Lacey Keosauqua State Park, Kilbourn, and Anson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.
