Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
316 AM CDT Mon May 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Rainfall from scattered showers and thunderstorms during the next
7 days will likely total less than 1/4 inch in most areas.

Cool season grasses continue to green-up across western and north
central Nebraska but warm season grasses have yet to green-up in
some areas. Elevated fire weather conditions are expected across
southwest Nebraska today and much of western and north central
Nebraska Tuesday. The fire weather concern is limited to warm
season grasses which remain dry in some areas.
