.Discussion...
Fire sensitive weather conditions will continue into next week, especially
into mid-week as temperatures rise into the mid to upper 90s with
heat indices of 100 to 107 forecast. Isolated lightning storms will
be possible across the south on Sunday, with scattered to numerous
showers and lightning storms each afternoon starting next week. Some
storms may be strong, especially Tuesday and Wednesday, with frequent
lightning strikes, and gusty winds being the main hazards. Min RH values
will fall into mid to upper 30s to low 40s Sunday, and upper 30s to
low 40s across the interior through mid-week. Southeast winds around
10 KT on Sunday will increase to 10-15 KT on Monday. Breezy conditions
expected Tuesday and Wednesday, as winds veer to the south to southwest
and speeds increase to 15-20 KT with higher gusts possible. Smoke dispersion
values will be generally good on Sunday and very good on Monday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
