.REMARKS...A SERIES OF WEAK WEATHER SYSTEMS BROUGHT SOME WELCOME
RAIN TO EUREKA THROUGH THE MONTH OF MARCH. RAINFALL STILL ENDED THE
MONTH BELOW NORMAL, BUT IT WAS 70 PERCENT OF NORMAL. THIS WAS A
SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT OVER LAST MONTH WHEN EUREKA SAW ONLY 10
PERCENT OF ITS NORMAL RAINFALL. TEMPERATURES ENDED THE MONTH BELOW
NORMAL, ESPECIALLY THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WHICH WERE NEARLY 3 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. THIS WAS PARTIALLY JUST DUE TO A COOL AIRMASS OVER THE
AREA. HOWEVER, THE ABSENCE OF SOUTHERLY WINDS AHEAD OF STRONG
WEATHER SYSTEMS MAY HAVE ALSO PLAYED A ROLE IN KEEPING TEMPERATURES
COOL. MKK
