.SYNOPSIS...

High pressure will be north northwest of the area, as powerful
Hurricane Milton approaches the central Gulf coast of FL Today. The
storm will cross the FL peninsula Wednesday night, and move into the
western Atlantic early Thursday morning. Milton will move southeast
of area waters during the afternoon Thursday, but winds and waves
wrapping around the backside of the storm will keep conditions
elevated well into the weekend. High pressure will build over the
region over the weekend. A cold front will move southeast across
region Monday night into Tuesday.

hurricane conditions also possible. Northeast winds 15 to
20 knots, increasing to 20 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 8 feet,
occasionally to 10 feet. Wave Detail: Northeast 7 feet at
7 seconds and east 3 feet at 14 seconds. Intracoastal waters
rough. A chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers early this
evening, then showers likely.
.WEDNESDAY...Tropical storm conditions possible with hurricane
conditions also possible. Northeast winds 20 to 25 knots,
increasing to 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 40 knots in the
afternoon. Seas 7 to 9 feet, occasionally to 11 feet. Wave
Detail: Northeast 8 feet at 8 seconds and east 3 feet at
13 seconds. Intracoastal waters very rough. Showers likely with a
chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then showers with a

with gusts up to 40 knots, becoming east 30 to 40 knots with
