The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...

* Until 615 AM CDT.

* At 438 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from East Galveston
  Bay to near North Jetty to Galveston Bay, moving east at 5 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  East Galveston Bay, Galveston Ship Channel, Galveston Bay Entrance,
  Buoy 42035, Offatts Bayou, North Jetty, Galveston Pier 21,
  Galveston 150, Galveston Causeway, Rollover Pass, High Island 63,
  High Island A179, The Texas City Dike, southeastern Galveston Bay,
  and northeastern West Bay.
