Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
902 PM CDT Fri Apr 20 2018 /802 PM MDT Fri Apr 20 2018/

Today, heavy cloud cover blanketed the area and prevented
temperatures from reaching seasonal norms across the area. Dry air
at the surface delayed the start of rain, but all locations
eventually saw a start to precipitation with southwest Nebraska
receiving the highest amounts at 2 to 3 tenths of an inch. Highs
ranged from the low 40s to upper 50s across the area.

For tonight, ongoing rain is pushing north and east into north
central Nebraska will a bit of a break being seen across southwest
and south central Nebraska. This hole is expected to fill in later
tonight. A few areas may also see snow, mainly areas west of
Highway 61. Accumulations should remain light with less than an
inch or two expected that should melt quickly come Saturday`s
temperature rise after sunrise. Lows will remain above freezing so
slickness concerns should be fairly limited.
