Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low, however,
                       life threatening rip currents often occur in the
                       vicinity of the South Padre Island jetties. Remember
                       to swim near a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Very High. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Remain in
                       shade if possible.

Weather:               Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly
                       cloudy. Patchy fog early in the morning.

Temperatures:          Low 80s.

Wind:                  Southeast 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 feet.

Surf Temperature:      72 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       71 degrees.

Tides:                 A minor high at 3 52 am. A low at 10 40 am.
                       A high at 4 44 pm. A minor low at 10 30 pm.

Outlook:               An elevated risk of life threatening rip
                       currents will return Tuesday and continue
                       through next week. Mostly sunny skies and
                       dry conditions can be expected with highs
                       dropping from the low 80s on Monday into
                       the low and mid 70s through friday.
